Sunny Massad, Ph.D.

Founder of the Women’s Leadership Institute for Conscious Coaching

Dr. Sunny Massad is the Chief Learning Officer and Professional Development Trainer at the Women’s Leadership Institute for Conscious Coaching, author of UnTherapy: A Positive Psychology for Enlightened Living, originator of the UnTherapy® process, of which she has the trademark, and creator of two popular hypnosis CD’s entitled Clarity and Peace of Mind.

Sunny Massad, a longtime member of the American Counseling Association, was an inspiring and humorous public speaker, counselor, psychologist and teacher who had an expanded community of clients and life coach graduates in just about every English speaking country in the world.

Sunny Massad opened a private practice in 1988 before obtaining a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in psychology. She believes that academic education is not as effective for people who wish to become counselors, life coaches, and consultants because “academia does not prepare students with the practical skills necesary to learn how to work through their own issues, let alone teach them how to mentor others through theirs.”

Sunny Massad Life Coach

Sunny Massad founded and ran a nonprofit educational training organization called the Hawaii Wellness Institute from 2002 to 2013. She openly shares tales with her students about her life as an unconventional entrepreneur, world traveler, seeker, and homesteader.

“I created this online training to afford women the unique opportunity to utilize their certification as a life coach or consultant in ways that will enhance their careers or supplement their incomes.  Women deserve a hand up and who better to give them one than a woman who was once in the same position of need.  I am honored to pass the torch to women who are ready to become beacons of light in their communities.”  Sunny Massad

UnTherapy: A Positive Psychology for Enlightened Living, by Sunny Massad, Ph.D.

Sunny Massad is both the originator of the solution-oriented counseling system called UnTherapy and author of the book entitled UnTherapy: A Positive Psychology for Enlightened Living.

Unlike most of the self-improvement books on the market that imply that there is “much work to be done,” UnTherapy has one essential principle: people are not necessarily damaged nor are they irreversibly wounded. On the contrary. People are incredibly resilient! And with the right tools, even wounded adults can move beyond the pain of their past.

“Women deserve a hand up! It is my contention that when women are distressed, they seek immediate relief but often just don’t know how to access that within themselves! Students first learn how to shape their own lives and then learn how to help their clients to do the same. UnTherapy is an efficient, painless, and incredibly effective system for alleviating suffering and evoking monumental life transformations.”  Sunny Massad
